Plato shares conversations of his mentor Aristotle. Aristotle’s teachings heavily influenced early Christian thought, and still do today, especially in regards to the afterlife. It is from Aristotle — not the Bible — that theologians derived the idea of the “immortal soul”. Modern Communist thinkers also borrowed from some of Aristotle’s social ideas.
